Qormi is located centrally in the Southern region of Malta and has a population of 16,779 people in an area of 5km² making it the 5th most populated locality on the Island. The town is still known by its title of Citta Pinto. The elders from Qormi speak with a heavy dialect which outsiders struggle to understand.

St Sebastian Church
There are two Parish churches in Qormi and the rivalry is fierce. One is dedicated to St George, celebrated on the last Sunday of June and the other feast is dedicated to St Sebastian which is celebrated on the third Sunday of July.
There are many cultural events held in Qormi and probably one of the best times to visit. There are is the very popular Qormi Wine Festival, Malta Springfest, Qormi Bread Festival an many other sporting events including fun runs and the Qormi Road Race. The people from Qormi so proud of their locality that have even had their own anthem since 2002.

Qormi is most popular for having the best bread on the Island and the Maltese used to make it a point to go to Qormi to buy it, but in recent times companies like Maypole have expanded and distribute their bread throughout the Island in one of their many outlets.
Qormi is a very interesting city with a village feel to it having many long, winding and narrow roads it’s easy to get lost, but this just adds to the charm. There are many houses of characters, terraced houses and townhouses in the centre of the village which are becoming more and more in demand.
