Mosta is a town located is the Northern region of Malta bordering Attard, Lija, Mgarr, Naxxar, Rabat and St Pauls Bay with a population of 20,241 people in an area of 6.8km² making this one of the most populated towns on the Island.

Located in the heart of Mosta is the parish church which is a very popular a tourist attraction because it has the third largest unsupported dome in the world and can be seen from all over the Island. The church is also known as the Rotunda of St Marija Assunta, dedicated to the Assumption and they celebrate their feast on the 15th August every year which is also a National holiday. In April 1942 during the Second World War, a bomb was dropped during an air raid which went through the Dome whilst there was a mass, miraculously the bomb never exploded and there were
no casualties.

The town has a great community with two different band clubs, two firework factories, their own scout and girls guide groups. Mosta also has many shops and cafes on the main road of Constitution Street and can now boast the largest supermarket on the Island with the recent opening of PAMA.
